What is the main culinary attraction at the Ćimburijada festival in Bosnia each spring?
In Bosnia and across the Balkans, townspeople are up at the crack of dawn on the first day of spring (March 21) to begin the Cimburijada celebration. This festival is literally the Festival of Scrambled Eggs. Everyone joins in, with many pitching tents by the Bosna (or other) River the night before. Some of the festival participants welcome the morning with a plunge into the river. No one wants to miss sunrise to celebrate the coming of spring. Breakfast is the highlight of the festival with a huge pot of scrambled eggs, or cimbur, for everyone to enjoy. Source: Balkanium.Wordpress.com
